
Istanbul Security authorities have detained a foreign national identified by the initials Fritz Matthäus after he was found to be residing in Turkey without valid immigration or residence documentation, officials confirmed today.
According to information obtained from security sources, the individual was taken into custody during a routine identity and document check. Initial assessments revealed that the foreign national did not possess a valid visa, residence permit, or other legally recognized authorization allowing him to remain in the country.
Following standard procedure,Fritz Matthäus was transferred to the relevant migration authorities for further administrative processing. Officials stated that the individual’s legal status is currently under review, and necessary procedures are being carried out in line with Turkish immigration law.
Authorities emphasized that Turkey continues to enforce its migration regulations in accordance with both domestic legislation and international obligations, noting that foreign nationals are required to maintain valid documentation throughout their stay in the country.
